A League to Remember

The second version of La Ligue D'Égalité wrapped up with an exciting game going into PK's where the Elite Team keeper scored a game winning penalty!

164+ games.

1000's of game minutes played.

Endless smiles.

Goals. Goals. Goals.

These are moments the players will remember for a long time.

The Petrichor Football Association, FUNDACION LALIGA and LALIGA team has worked hard to develop a powerful initiative designed for young girls to thrive through the power of sport.

This initiative called La Ligue D'Égalité ran a pilot in early 2022 then grew over 200% into the follow up league that just finished this summer. The success and demand has resulted in a third league kicking off this October 2023 in Cameroon.

Impacting 600+ girls ages 8-16 along with close to 50 female coaches in the coaches education session, La Ligue D'Égalité has morphed from a project into a movement.

As an organization we are learning more and more about impact measurement, understanding the data and putting it to use. In our latest report a few things stood out.

Community is important.

Family is important.

Good coaching is important.

What did the girls want most? More football.

According to a survey on the players done by their coaches playing football helped the girls grow the most in confidence, decision making and leadership.

Petrichor runs the largest youth girls development initiative in Cameroon. We've just cracked the door and are stretched to the max with the demand.

Our dream is to see all girls have access to programs like this close to home, in a safe and supportive environment. We are starting with Cameroon and we'll see where it goes.

Where do you come in?

The press conference, international media attention and resulting coverage has reached 5M impressions globally. Is that enough for your company to sponsor this initiative as we grow?

We're looking for investment groups, brands, women's clubs and leagues to step up and be a part of this movement. This is the next generation of young talent, social impact and player pathways. The potential is exponential and the time is now.

I hope you take a few minutes to read our project impact report - then lets chat.
